X Rated Lizard
I was away at Labour weekend so had to look elsewhere for inspiration. I sometimes generate random words presented with scrambled letters to try to solve. The combination EEGINTUX come up a few weeks ago. The first time I do them with only a few seconds to spot the right answer and that was way too tough. The ones I can’t get are saved and then done again at least a week later. Still too tough. Couldn’t remember what the word was, but I tried EXIGUENT. Ignore that because it is wrong, but here are some EXIG- words that do exist:
EXIGENT EXIGEANT (which takes a surprising E hook at the end) EXIGENCE EXIGENCY EXIGIBLE EXIGUITY EXIGUOUS
Another week later I finally managed to get it right. The answer is TEGUEXIN. A black and yellow South American lizard whose name can be shortened to TEGU. Now I have noticed the contraction, it might be easier to spell as well as spot. At least I will know it starts with TEGU
